We hold the New Year meet at Walmer Bridge Village Hall. It has room for around 25 units on the car park, which means that no-one is going to get stuck in the mud. Walmer Bridge village is less than 10 mins walk away with a couple of pubs, a Spar and a pair of takeaways that are usually visited on the first night.

We have full use of the main hall day and night, and people will tend to gather in there to sit and chat during the day, or to help out with decorations or general ‘room prep’. We have a social each night, the first is free and easy and people tend to use the time to catch up with friends new and old. We also have a fancy dress night, the theme is a Taste of the Orient this year and New Year’s Eve is Black tie and posh dresses. We’ve got music and games and sometimes party till the last one drops in the early hours of the morning. Evening food is provided for nights 2,3 and 4 with people generally hitting the takeaway or one of the local pubs on the first night.

Everyone mucks in to help out and is rota’d on for a job or two which could be food preparation, washing up or cleaning the toilets.

For more details contact Paul or Deb via as they organise the New Year party.
